  1. I recently bought a Browning Buck Mark 22LR 5 one/2 Camper Pro Target from a local auction.
Have so far sent approx 300 rounds downrange with no problems using Remington 22 Thunderbolt rounds. Handles nice, quick on the trigger & then along.
Merely curious every bit to anyones' thoughts on this mitt gun.
  2. They're great guns, I have a Camper URX that I love. It shoots pretty much any high velocity round I run in it, and if information technology'south clean it'll run standard velocity too. Whenever I want to feel good almost myself I option up one of my .22 target way handguns, considering they tin can make even an OK shooter look proficient.

I also have a Ruger Marking I, accuracy wise I tin't tell a divergence betwixt them. The Browning may have a slight edge on reliability, but I don't know if it's off-white to compare information technology to a gun from 76 that's had 3 additional design changes.

  3. Buckmarks are pinnacle quality .22 handguns. I have one myself ... you tin can't become wrong with whatever Buckmarks yous buy.
Mosin Bubba and wally like this.
  4. Our but complaints are you need two different sized hex head wrenches to take it down for consummate cleaning and if the right side grip panel shoots loose the trigger bar tin come up off and take the gun out of activity -- don't attempt to fix at the range, equally a pocket-size spring can and will go a springing ready to be lost in the weeds!

Fortunately the design is "open" enough a full take downwardly for cleaning is rarely necessary Q-tips, brake-parts cleaner, Hoppe's and a bore snake suffice for many thousands of rounds.

  5. Dandy gun. When I kickoff got mine I was considering Ruger and Beretta in improver. Some articles mentioned those two had reliability issues with certain ammo. Early I did some reliability tests with the Browning, many different standard and high velocity rounds from several manufacturers, all fed impeccably.

I put an inexpensive red dot on it, Bushnell TRS-25, and information technology just tin can't miss. I'm sure you're going to enjoy yours.

  6. I bought a used one a couple years ago and really like it. One thing to picket for is the screws on top can piece of work loose. Mine would loosen up within a hundred rounds or so every fourth dimension. I concluded upwardly borrowing nail shine from my girl and painting the threads. They accept stayed put since
  7. I honey mine. It has great sights and trigger. It's very authentic. I bank check the Allen head bolt on the acme often. They absolutely tin loosen up.
  8. Where did you buy the rail to fit the red dot??
  9. I bought a used plain Buckmark Camper last year. Other than the safety being a flake weird to put dorsum in the upwardly position, the gun is great.

I put on a Tactical Solutions rail with integral rear sight to mountain a cherry-red dot. https://www.tacticalsol.com/trail-lite-accessories/trail-lite-scope-bases

The version without the rear sight is much cheaper, but if you desire back ups to your red dot, I retrieve the "integral" version is worth the toll.

Edit to add: the TacSol Trail Calorie-free Scope Base is available at Amazon, Brownells, etc. etc.

  10. To be honest, I don't recall. Simply I encounter they're bachelor on Amazon, Ebay, etc. Browning even makes their own: http://world wide web.browning.com/products/shooting-accessories/scope-rings-and-bases/cadet-mark-scope-base.html

I used Loc-Tite imperial on the screws.

  11. Buckmark, accented best 22 pistol I've always shot

  12. Buckmarks are fantastic. I think the Campers are kind of ugly, but they will shoot the lights out.
  13. I did not own one until today. Been looking at and property this "previously enjoyed" ane often at the LGS. Today information technology came home with me. Can't await to shoot it.

I consider my Cadet Mark Black Label my "gratuitous pistol". I try to shoot weekly at a local outdoor range when the weather permits. I've been doing this for a couple of years and information technology's virtually the merely thing I tin can still do outdoors at 82. My wife is tolerant of my pistol shooting equally she knows I really enjoy it. I've been shooting 9mm Glocks.

She never asks much almost the price simply the other mean solar day she said "how much does information technology cost when you go to the range each calendar week". I told her well the range fee is $ 13 and I ordinarily shoot 150-200 rds. A box of 9mm shells is about $ x so I'1000 spending near $ 43-53 each week. This got me to thinking and I thought why not consider a .22 pistol since quality .22 ammo is almost $ 8-9 for 100 rds.

After researching .22'southward I sat downwards with my wife and told her I could purchase a .22 pistol and it would save me about $ 95/mo. For instance if I'm spending $53 a week shooting 9mm. I can shoot a .22 for most $ 31/wk. or a savings of about $ 22/wk. or a savings of about $ 95/mo.

Long story short, I purchased a Browning Cadet Mark model Blackness Characterization a few weeks agone for $ 489.95. And I will have saved the $ 489.95 in about 5 mos.! Thought I would pass this on just in example others could use this arroyo to purchase their next pistol. I accept no idea how I tin justify the side by side 1 even so!!

The Cadet Mark shoots great too!! The attached target was 10 rds. shot at 7 yds. file-2[3925].jpeg

I already had a Vortex Venom and information technology fits slap-up. Just haven't had a run a risk to shoot with the red dot notwithstanding.
